As you prepare for the Super Bowl, you may be thinking about things like the game day food and if your television is big enough. This is just the beginning. Many other things need to looked at as well in order to have the best party. You need to make sure that you have everything in order and that there will be no need to leave or really move all that much in order to truly enjoy the game and to make sure you are having a great time while you are doing it.
What To Have Ready
You are going to first need to make sure that you have all of the right foods for the party and that you are able to keep everyone happy by having the right amounts. You need to look at and make sure that the fridge is stocked with the right refreshments. In other words, have plenty of beer and cold drinks to keep you and your guests happy. You will need to make sure that you have plenty of things to eat and drink with as well. The last thing you will want to happen is that the TV is not working and that people will not be able to hear what is going on. You will also need to look at the lighting for the room as well and what better way to control this that with having the proper shades for your windows. For example, for your home theater room, check out Somfy Shades.
Consider different options with the lighting. One of the best things is with your shades you can make adjusting them wireless which will make it easier for you to simply keep watching the game and to be able to adjust the light level. With Lutron’s products, you can control the light streaming in the windows with a simple use of a variety of remote control keypads.
Super Bowl Game Day Tips
Now that you have everything ready and you have everything in place for the big game, double-check it all again. Make sure you have enough of everything. Have everything ready for game time so you do not miss a play or a commercial. It is all about being able to have the best experience and to be able to remember how much fun you had because everything was ready.
RollEase, our trusted hardware provider at Horizon, has a new product that’s compliant with the recommended WCMA safety standards.
SafetyHold2 consists of two clear anchors at the top and bottom of the window that stablizes the bead chain when mounted to the wall. Children and pets are kept safer at home without the hazardous dangling cords.
For a charming escape to Paris, without the hassle of passports and jet lag, I highly recommend stopping by La Bergamote in Chelsea.
Upon walking into this quaint little patisserie, located at 177 9th Avenue, the first thing you notice is a giant glass display case filled with a variety of Parisene delicacies- golden, flaky croissants, glossy fruit tarts, light macarons, and a variety of gateaux that look too pretty to eat.
Francophiles will not only appreciate the food, but also the café-inspired decor, like the hand-painted mural, framed photos, and french country counter.
Horizon recently added Phifer SheerWeave roller shades to the windows at La Bergamot. The vinyl-coated fiberglass weave will diffuse natural light and manage heat and light from the sun, so the patisserie will be filled with a soft light that perfectly complements its french aura.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has expanded its original voluntary recall of Roman Shades and Roll-Up Blinds announced in December 2009 to now additionally include 495,000 roman shades and 28,500 roller blinds imported by Hanover Direct Inc., which is cooperating with this recall.
This new recall is due to the unfortunate report of a 22 month old boy from Cedar Falls, Iowa, who was found hanging by his neck from the outer pull cords of a Roman Shade in May 2010. His father had managed to rescue him, but the child tragically died at the hospital.
Consumers are being urged to immediately stop using all Roman Shades with inner cords, all Roll-Up Blinds, and all Roller Blinds that do not have a tension device, and contact the Window Covering Safety Council at (800) 506-4636 anytime for free repair kits or visit www.windowcoverings.org. Consumers who have roller blinds with a tension device should make sure the tension device is attached to the continuous loop bead chain or continuous loop pull cord and is installed into the wall or floor.
Examine all shades and blinds in your home, if you live with or take care of children. Make sure there are no accessible cords on the front, side or back of the product. CPSC recommends the use of cordless window coverings in all homes where children live or visit.
The Window Covering Manufacturer’s Association has also recently announced that it has opened the revision process for WCMA A100.1; 2nd Provisional American National Standard for Safety of Corded Window Covering Products in an effort to improve safety standards for window coverings.
